Hello Freshmen and Families,
We are excited to welcome you to Urbana High School! You will have an amazing four years, and that journey starts next week. On Monday, August 17, only Freshmen (you) will be on campus. You will learn about our courses, extracurricular activities, and get some insights on student life. This upcoming Monday will be a great day!
Entry to the building:
- For Freshman Orientation Day, all Freshmen will enter the building through door #1 starting at 7:30am and report to the Commons to get their schedule and ID.
If you are getting dropped off, our family drop-off zone is along Iowa Street. MTD buses drop off on Race Street. Students who ride the MTD bus will be allowed to ride to and from school until all scholars have their MTD pass printed on their school ID.

We will dismiss at 3:16pm. MTD transportation will be provided.
Finally, we wanted to remind families that all incoming 9th graders are required by Illinois State law to obtain a physical. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept sports physicals to fulfill this requirement. However, please know that we are unable to deviate from the law. Students will need to be picked up if they do not have a physical on file.
